Hmm...Hmm. That is a stone cold bitch. This page is a major downer. How could you make such a character?

A couple pages ago, she was enjoying his "company" she really is just a petty woman...

Just like this quote from red vs blue...

[Caboose] Is she a mean girl or a regular girl?

[Church] Caboose what did I tell you about that?

[Caboose] That there are no regular girls.

You know at first I was thinking anachronist dude was a tool. But now it seems he is a tool...for Miwa's sexual manipulation! A brother in pain!

I really like this guy, Miwa, your such a cold, heartless bitch! D:
Omnomimous 18th Sep 2012, 10:45 AM edit delete reply
Cold, heartless bitch? Or post-pubescent whose mental maturity far outstrips her emotional maturity? Instead of admitting that she is lacking in emotional maturity, she dismisses emotions that aren't cripplingly powerful as trivial and useless. Likewise, she dismissses anyone not as intelligent as she is as predictable and not worth full consideration. "If they can't understand things as well as I can, how can they feel things like I can?"
I know exactly where she is because she is a female me. Well... a female version of me with darker skin, dreads, and flung into the distant future where she has access to more information and better technology.

I honestly cannot blame Miwa for using this guy just for a good lay.

I mean, his idea of being unpredictable is yelling "bacon dishwasher" in the middle of a sentence? Most people grow out of the "monkey cheese lol random" school of humor around the ages of 12-14.

Contrast to Jim, who may or may not be predictable but is clearly a respected and mature...what would you call is profession anyway? Android M.D. I guess, though IDK if he has a degree.

Actually, reading back I see references to a Dr. Kirk, an actual android MD in town whose bedside manner leaves something to be desired. Jim might just be an electronics tech, but he seems to moonlight as a midwife for some of the local androids. Maybe mid-husband or whatever. It's a bit unique, really, as humans don't need help to go through puberty in the same way as while giving birth.

Jim doesn't have a degree and, like Mary, he's independently wealthy from the indieVisible days. So he basically does whatever people can convince him to do.

Think of him as someone who got rich writing a web app in high school, although in this case it was mostly hardware.

Plus, there are worse fates than being "used" by an attractive woman, especially if she's up front about it.

I don't get the Miwa-hate. She's got issues but she's an interesting person.

I'm worried their heads will explode if I write an actual villain.
WhiteAier 25th Nov 2011, 8:10 PM edit delete reply
Well if she is supposed to be the 'villain', then it's not a bad thing people don't like her. I like her as a well written character. I just dislike her since I hate girls like in real life.

Also I'm all for heads exploding.

Naw, the villain isn't Miwa.

We'll still end up feeling sorry for her when she dies

It's not that kind of comic...
Ronaldo 26th Nov 2011, 12:54 PM edit delete reply
Characters do not necessarily need to be likable. They don't need to be the person you wanna be or the person you wanna be with for them to be good characters.

Actions made by 'villans' don't always need to justified either, could be they are just jerks.

Surprise! People are complicated!
I kind of get the feeling that Miwa's the type of person who always needs to have something to figure out and in this relationship she's basically 'solved' the other person and things are growing stale.
Hopefully they'll break up before things get too acrimonious.
