"Classic" is a nice word for "obsolete"...

Not the interruption I was expecting. ('short people got...')

"the moods so bad that I'm completely dry now"

A technical question; what time zone is the comment clock set to?
view 3rd Jan 2012, 1:19 AM edit delete reply
I dunno.

Time is but a dream / It does always seem

Ah ha! As expected, the kami of "the Gap" is running on Universal Time Coordinated.

I'm at Greenwich +1 and it displays them at local time for me, so I guess it just adjusts to your own timezone (by means of comicfury, probably) or something.

five hours difference here in EST. Time can certainly be fluid!

Good stuff here! All that needs to be said.

Wouldn't holographic bedrooms existing for essentially only one purpose cause a massive problem with brothels and the negative elements they can at times bring if they were as common as movie theatres, which I kinda felt is implied?
view 3rd Jan 2012, 4:09 AM edit delete reply
A brothel's biggest competition is people who want to do it for free.

The ethics of selling rooms at an hourly rate to anyone who wants it... well, it's iffy. But it's not technically illegal in this town.
JasperWB 3rd Jan 2012, 4:18 AM edit delete reply
Heheh, alright. And I figured it more as whoever owns the holographic facilities gets the money paid so they could be running the brothel, not individuals abusing the place as much.
view 3rd Jan 2012, 4:50 AM edit delete reply
No staff. No people or robots.

I suppose you could order up a nudie hologram or something, but you couldn't touch it.
JasperWB 3rd Jan 2012, 4:54 AM edit delete reply
But where does the payment go? Or is the payment just a relic of years fine by? You don't actually pay anymore.
view 3rd Jan 2012, 4:55 AM edit delete reply
Oh, there's a dude that owns it, but he just stops by to do maintenance.

Trust me, he's not the kind of guy you wanna pay to screw.
JasperWB 3rd Jan 2012, 5:03 AM edit delete reply
Oh. Eww. Well he could just be the pimp, have people work for him. That's what I was ultimately getting at. The owners of the facilities would just be pimping. Though something tells me in this instance the "dude" would be the dude getting nude holo strip teases for free because he could...Wouldn't blame him though.

No, there's no hooking in this town. There are a few gold diggers and more than a few easy lays, though.
JasperWB 3rd Jan 2012, 5:13 AM edit delete reply
I see. I think I'd like to retire in your alternate future. A business opportunity to fulfill and "friendly" people, in a peaceful small town. Currently I only have one of the three and I'd take it or leave it.

Aww, the theatre's persona is adorable. Why it gotta be non-sentient? :(
view 3rd Jan 2012, 9:40 PM edit delete reply
No human IO, no human sentience.

I bet Jim could slap something together with it.
