Uh.. Hmm. I can only wonder where this is going and where it came from. Something tells me Miwa is just not into wearing clothing unless she has to. Like in a naturalistish way. And an odd note for possible future reference to people, the Dirty Harry music from the actual Dirty Harry movie provides a great set up with the last two panels.

Apparently, the last few pages have been more opaque than I thought.

Why do you think there's a rescue copter flying around? Why would Jim be called in suddenly?

As for Miwa, an emergency happened, no time to dress... this is actually based on the time I saw an EMT do basically the same thing.

Alright. I get it now. I put it together. I just didn't remember the part about Miwa and didn't know Jim was actually called in. Just thought he was storming home. I suppose it wasn't clear or I'm distracted.

Fuck. I thought you were implying he was called before. Boy I always look stupid somehow. It's quite depressing

No, it's pretty clear that several people are having a rough time with this segment. I didn't create it very well.

If you want specifics on my problem, the comic story overall was still flowing well but Jim's trip was too much of a mystery to pick up in this spot

I'm at work and I laughed so fucking hard. People were staring at me.

Oh my God, me too! Well, I'm in my bed, not work, and there's no one to stare at me. But oh my God, I laughed too! AWESOME ioke with the faps & Jim & chopper.

The situation was obvious the moment you hinted at it, View. The crane fell on Hans, and Miwa came to grab Jim, mere minutes after he got home from Mary's. He only had time to make or grab a sandwich before she arrived and grabbed his hand to rush off to help Hans.

You weren't too opaque. That wasn't the problem. But I admit that I was a whole lot more focused on Mary and Jim and sex then I was on the robots back at the dinosaur pit! I have read all those pages up to here consecutively, along with reading the comments and adding one or two, which added some time between pages. But the kids at the dinosaur pit have been the furthest thing from my mind for several-many minutes at least. (I haven't even taken time to masturbate, just reading and commenting, and I've already forgotten all of that from the front of my mind.) ... I did not remember Miwa as a nurse or emergency responder for robots, either, true. And since she was not at the pit, I also did not have an immediate reason to connect her with that scene. If this had been Gretel grabbing Jim, I think it would've been pretty obvious to me immediately, or one of the other kids. ... I didn't REALLY think that Miwa was grabbing Jim for sex, but that was the only thought that came to mind, even knowing that it was just a funny not-what-was-really-happening.

Fine job on the page. I just really loved the laugh, and did not think anything of the fact that it was the next page which would reveal why Jim was being grabbed.

The elements (plot, that is) converge an hours walk beyond the end of the line. A lot less by air, and Miwa is 'not' flying by the seat of her pants!

So, Jim gets home, "fap" sounds appear, but they are not coming from Jim !

However, a Rescue Helicopter must mean there's something/someone to rescue, likely a robot, since he's the techie - I'm obviously guessing Hans' here, but View has thrown us odd curveballs before.

As for Hans, if his body is crushed, but his memory/back battery is intact, he should be able to survive, yes ?

The Sandwich made me bust an older comic i loved.

Girlfriend: Oh lucky me... So, What is it that raises me above the level of your lunch?

Boyfriend: I can't put my dick in sandwiches... Well I can, butt it's not as good...

Well, if Hans' personality was completely done for(offline and deleted) there would be no reason to have Jim come, they would just rebuild him from scratch. I'm guessing they're trying to save something here.

Also, I know that that doesn't make for good storytelling, but are cellphones gone for some reason?

Good question. Did the children 'phone in' their emergency, or did they have to run for help? Seems like everybody would be 'wired' into the internet equivalent. (And as an opportunistic sub-text; Miwa is going to share some very exciting 'real' time with Jim. Something a girl who thinks too much might really enjoy!)

Being wired all the time isn't human. Of course they called home using radio the instant it happened, but being "always on" is just another step further from being human, and another step closer to being a machine.

(Actually, Hans' body would have automatically called home when it was damaged, but it's not really worth making the distinction.)

Hmmm. You seem to know an awful lot about what the steps away from being human are...

Please, don't add any credence to this whole robot view theory.

This made me actually laugh irl out the loudness of, ty. I dig your work by the way, very inspiring as I have been worried about the blurring of lines. what's too much porny bits n such but still human, anyway.
