Pretty much the last time you'll see her "eyes closed" feel for a while.

Jim knows what he's doing. Though in the last panel I can't tell if his hands are just out front or he's covering up. The latter seems futile at this point.

And hopefully we will see her eyes closed soon at the end. Huh? Know what I mean? "Oh oh oh!"

Yeah. You know you like me.

As always, view, you have me eagerly awaiting the next page. Just like every day since I started reading just as Chapter 2 began.

Even I think it would be overtly lewd to just unzip and whip it out. I really hope its not that. Tasteless..

Yeah, it just looks like it. That or adjusting. He doesn't have a distraction this time (p#25) but I suppose he also doesn't have to hide it quite as much while he hobbles away.

And I presume it's time to fire up the 70's funk band for the scenes that will follow this. XD

@HimitsuNotebook The Mary vision thing sort of reminds me of assassins creed eagle vision, i wonder...

That's actually a cool way to emphasize the focus on her sense of touch and sound. Instead of just using text, him becoming faded and hazy and his touches becoming clear works well. Good use of the medium.

It's what I was aiming for, but it's still a bit clumsy. Well, good learning experience.

Definitely saw what you were doing by panel 3 and 4 with the hand on the face.
Prestidigititis 9th Mar 2012, 5:24 AM edit delete reply
Prestidigititis
Clumsy might be appropriate, since early love sessions are pretty clumsy. Mary's clumsy in her way.

I really like how just the hint of Jim's physical presence remains in panel 3. Gets across that shift of focus from the person to the sensation when you're kissing and falling in love.
tteclod 9th Mar 2012, 1:17 AM edit delete reply
Anyone ever told you your work is a lot like Chuck Austen's (born Beckham) "Strips" from the 80's? Your style is more manga-influenced, but the feel of the story and the general sexual under-current is really similar.

I don't think I've ever read them.
tteclod 9th Mar 2012, 1:30 AM edit delete reply
Then you clearly deserve a link. Good stuff.

Chuck is also responsible for "Tripping the Rift" He's written a lot of main stream comics, including DC's Action Comics, but his sense of story arcs definitely leans lewd.
Suicide King 9th Mar 2012, 2:03 AM edit delete reply
I don't think the above can be qualified as having a sexual under-current :P More of a wave really.

Oh my .. she's getting all fired up again, her body full of emotions 'n' stuff.
I wonder what Jim is doing in the last panel though ?
Taking off his clothes and joining her in the water ?
Getting ready for some beanbag luvin' ?

I predict Jim is getting ready to move the whole affair inside out of the reach of the Octopi. You notice that he is staying out of the water too. (Though they have probably already hacked Kiki and have control of all the cameras!)

I await anxiously for tomorrow's page. I need a pick me up after finishing a certain recently released video game. I am so disappointed...I honestly feel like a part of me just died. And there wasn't much of me left to start with.

I can't mention the title for fear of spoiling it for people who haven't finished it yet. If people figure it out, they figure it out. If I don't confirm it then those who want to deny and stay in the dark can do so.

Hint would be that it was an amazing game with an awful, awful ending.

"Amazing game...awful ending." Sounds a lot like real life...

At least you can play the games. When I try, my serotonin dries up and my brain falls over.

ravenor78
@cattservant As a hardcore gamer i've never heard of being unable to play videogames, how do you live? From what i read from the article serotonin is a stimulant for happiness, so do videogames cause you displeasure? Of course you could be joking and i'm just being dense but still.
cattservant 9th Mar 2012, 9:21 PM edit delete reply
cattservant
@ravenor78:Greetings!; I'm not joking, but I am being ironic. The actual difficulty being very poor short term memory retention. (Probably caused by too many years of extended living.) The only way I can get through a game is to follow a walkthrough, and where's the fun in that?

Besides the Cats seem to demand most of my free time. Never satisfied!*

*Or, as they say "cats!, Cats!! and DAMNED CATS!!!"

@cattservant The nine lives thing starting to take their toll?
Haven't heard that one before, but i like cats, got 2 myself but i don't invest as much time in them as you obviously do.

I'm down to two too... It's just that it is pretty much of a geri-catric ward around here!

If you meant a place where cats come and go to get fed and other services (sorry if i misunderstood, caught me off with geri-catric) then i think you'd love where i am, i know a good amount of people who "serve" dozens of cats.
cattservant 9th Mar 2012, 10:17 PM edit delete reply
cattservant
Ah... Serving Cats, a noble avocation. By geri-catric* I meant my Cats are old, wobbly and missing various parts.

*Amazingly, when I googled 'geri-catric' there were 16,700 results! Anything you can think of, someone makes their living doing!

Plenty of comments about Jim's hands in the last panel. What is he doing? What could he be doing? And some of the guesses are valid; he might be doing some of those things. But at least one of the guesses seems very, VERY, unlikely to me. And why is he turning away, seemingly leaving? Well, again, those guesses about leaving Mary wanting more might be right.

But now that I have read through all of the existing comments, I find myself absolutely surprised!
(Gently:) Even the much-anticipated arrival of the much-anticipated should not have knocked one particular thing from your commenty little hedz :-). And many of you claim to care about the characters so much ...

When Jim walked out of the house and saw the clothes, skimpy panties even!, I never forgot ...
... Jim walked into the house WITH A LITTLE KID!!!
(Again, gently:)Riiiight? Remember Elvis now??? *nods* Yes, I thought you would.

Granted, View's little world here and its people seem to take sex and casual nudity more casually than I myself do. A lady skinny-dipping may not be so shocking, or considered shocking, even to a kid, and the kissing at that point might not be shocking or wrong. "Oh, Jim likes Mary, and he's finally got a chance to kiss her." (See, no noticing the nudity; she was just swimming.) ... But any actual sex play out here on the dock when Elvis is waiting inside or even standing right outside at the back door, having walked out right behind Jim ... "God, ick." See where I'm going here. I hope you did as soon as I mentioned Elvis again :) .
