Gretel pokin' her nose in...

"You're that one-eyed girl..." "NO SHIT, SHERLOCK."

Now you know why EVERYONE calls this guy "doofus". Because his name is Rufus. It's a clever pun! AHAHAHAHAAHA ... ha... hm.

Hm... art no good.

I knew that bastard wore sweatpants. I don't think I've ever met anyone who did any good when they were wearing sweatpants!

But anyway, I'm now hopeful for where things are going for Miwa. If she likes projects, which I wager she would, this guy would be perfect for her to go back to.

Hmph. *I* wear sweatpants all the time, and it does *me* no harm... :P

And also I thought the last panel looked just right. Very good action. So don't be art no gooding round here!

Gretel the Practical Perceptionist!

Ah, so it wasn't just me who thought that Gretel had dressed up a wee bit for miwa then.

Should have mentioned it so I could say "toldja so" 'n' stuff.

Also ... art is allright. :)

I really like that automatic umbrella! Is it built in or is it an attachment? view should patent the idea.
view 25th Apr 2012, 1:37 AM edit delete reply
It's an attachment. It'd be needlessly bulky to always carry around.
cattservant 25th Apr 2012, 1:41 AM edit delete reply
I thought maybe it telescoped down and stowed in a mid-scapular hatch.

Can robots here even store any gadgets and stuff internally, like in a lot of other sci fi, or are their bodies full of...well robot innards? And would they not want to anyway in order to be more humanlike?
view 25th Apr 2012, 1:53 AM edit delete reply
Jim's designs don't have enough wasted space to store things inside, but you're right, Jasper, most robots choose not to have storage spaces because it makes them less humanlike.

Is the acidity of the rain high enough to be an immediate problem every time there is precipitation, or is it more of a long term environmental problem?
view 25th Apr 2012, 2:30 AM edit delete reply
It's not really dangerous. It is hard on the native plants, fungi, and bacteria, but the ecosystem's been propped up with species that reduce the acidity of the water, so it's all in balance.

It must be tough to keep the Ricket-Rail units all polished and shiny!

Like living by the ocean with all the salt in the air, slowly eating everything away over long periods of time. I don't think that gets to the earth too badly though.

A school project is to make a ricket-rails train to replace an old one.
cattservant 25th Apr 2012, 3:18 AM edit delete reply
That's right, you did say that the Ricket-Rail system was essentially a community art project!
Sheela 25th Apr 2012, 4:56 AM edit delete reply
Safety third ?
cattservant 25th Apr 2012, 5:08 AM edit delete reply
I think the Ricket-Rail system is smart enough to fend off amateurs and incompetents.
I wonder if the system is centralized or distributed?

Amazing what a good sleep will do for one's brain functions.

RE: Gretel's nose poking;
1. Metaphorical we suppose.*
2. Increased drama with slight chance of romance after sun down.

*(her nose, that is.)

Great umbrella!
