First page of chapter two, and the last fanservice for quite a while.

Although I don't bother to even allude to it in the comic, she's actually hearing them over a speaker. The transparent walls are around 15cm thick, so she wouldn't be able to hear them even if they shouted, otherwise.

They can't hear her, though, because the speaker is one way...

Are any of these characters ones that've appeared in other works of yours? I feel like I can't get a handle on who's who....

(And that's not a knock on your drawing style; I have serious issues with facial recognition.)

Absolutely not. Not a single one of the characters appears anywhere outside this comic. And the only familiar face on this page is Mary.

Well, if you're really sharp, you might be able to pick out Gretel, who you haven't met but you've seen a picture of her next body...

Morning drool, view? I love your attention to detail. ^_^

Gretel is the little ponytailed cyclops-bot in frame 3. An interesting notion of having companion robots grow-up with their human via successive replacement bodies. Is the boy's name Hanzel?

Which brings me to the bullet-headed bot. The way it was drawn gave the impression that it was a liquid filled container... strange design for a bot... unless. The Chessmen of Mars comes to mind with a sapient octopus playing the part of a Kaldane. In this case the head that drives the robot body. After all, these are mutant octopi with three rows of suckers versus the familiar two...

Bluh. I wasn't even sure that was Mary for my first few glances.

I'll just sit quietly and wait for things to become evident to my hobbled mind.

@duLapel: To be fair, the octopus doesn't actually live in the head.

The boy robot is, as you'd expect, Hanzel.

@Presti: ... I really don't know how I could make it any clearer who is who, sorry.

It's not you, it's me. In a few weeks, I'll be up to speed. I go through this with every new comic, TV series, or romantic partner.
