Ah, slow pages....

You know you're in trouble when the GM has an evil grin while describing something small and easy.

Interesting that they wouldn't be using polyhedral dice other than the classic six-siders. Considering how otherwise advanced their tech is. it possible that's a plot point? Even a minor one? Did I maybe discover an important detail?? ME?? *bounce bounce*

Yeah, it's actually vaguely interesting, but not enough to actually get talked about in the comic proper.

The "paper" they're using is digital paper. Most games - even tabletop games - use them to do all the rolling and stat tracking and stuff.

Mary is showing the kids the opposite end of the spectrum, sort of like you might take city kids camping. Only a few still images, tactile dice, and so on.

She COULD use more complicated dice, but she chose the most basic dice to suit the kind of oldschool idea.

Okay. Not a huge plot point...won't determine storytelling down the line.

But still, a thing. A thing I noticed...

(I love the dynamic of the kids as they play a game together. You got skillz, mang.)

So the kids are just kids, and Mary is kind of "entertaining " them? and she is in her twenties?

Never trust a Smiling DM we used to say!
... off course, I was rarely smiling, mostly just cackling evilly ;)
