Miwa looks....very unpleasant in that center panel.
tteclod 2nd Jul 2012, 10:44 PM edit delete reply
I like it. Full range of emotion and all that. I was beginning to think that Forview couldn't do angry.
view 2nd Jul 2012, 10:46 PM edit delete reply
I can do anything! But angry is not really called for very often in this comic.
ravenor78 2nd Jul 2012, 11:05 PM edit delete reply
I knew it! She really is the cyborg version of the hulk!
Freddy 3rd Jul 2012, 6:07 PM edit delete reply
I don't really like it. Her face is almost Moon-over-June-esque.
CyberSkull 2nd Jul 2012, 10:48 PM edit delete reply
Miwa is all over the place in this comic.

So was this mostly punching the equipment?
JasperWB 2nd Jul 2012, 10:53 PM edit delete reply
I think she is genuinely confused that all people don't act like machines and follow commands or pick the "logical" (to her at least) decision on their own. Quite the person. I really wonder what her thought process is at times. It wound be fascinating to follow. Also I like when you do cartoonish anger. Scary anger is...well pretty scary.
ravenor78 2nd Jul 2012, 11:09 PM edit delete reply
All people are random... unless their female cyborg/hulk lightning phobic rich super genius', in which case you follow the so called "logic".
Extrange 3rd Jul 2012, 12:49 AM edit delete reply
The slight deviation from her predictions throws her out of the loop. remember how annoyed she was when her lightning prediction was off by 3 seconds? When A doesn't leads to B, she doesn't understands why.
Extrange 3rd Jul 2012, 12:08 AM edit delete reply
Miwa seems to think about her social links as a giant game of Sims. Also, that's one weird angry face on panel 4.
kill3st 3rd Jul 2012, 12:12 AM edit delete reply
I think Miwa is one of the deepest characters in this whole comic... Bravo, View, Bravo...

Excuse my Rorschach quote, but

Except I'm just seeing if you forgot and don't intend to murder you.

I haven't forgotten, but I am sorry about the delay. I kinda plan to do all the sketches and faces on Wednesday.
JasperWB 3rd Jul 2012, 12:51 AM edit delete reply
Now wait. Just wait. Just hold, j-just wait. Is he wearing sweatpants? Again? And outside of the house in public?

This guy. I really don't like this guy. Yet now more than ever, I think he is the perfect opposite to attract Miwa and vice versa. But I think the public sweatpants may just be a step too far, Rufus!
view 3rd Jul 2012, 12:54 AM edit delete reply
They're not sweat pants, um, they're, um... etswa pants.
JasperWB 3rd Jul 2012, 1:16 AM edit delete reply
Etswa you say? Well that's a completely different matter. Who doesn't go about town to show off their fine new etswa? Unless...
Phuji 3rd Jul 2012, 2:18 AM edit delete reply
Etswa pants..... very futuristic.

I like this guy. He may not be the most intelligent person, certainly not Miwa's intellectual equal, but he's honest about his thoughts and actions even if he doesn't think them through beforehand.

He seemed to care about Miwa before, not just about being her booty call. I'm really rooting for this guy to pull it off and get the girl.
Meh.Aloe 3rd Jul 2012, 4:29 AM edit delete reply
Perhaps it's worth it because they are magic pants. Activate!
JasperWB 3rd Jul 2012, 4:52 AM edit delete reply
Hey I just really was upset because I thought he was one of those lazy slobs wearing sweat pants out of the house even when he wasn't sick and running emergency supply runs.

Stupid, smart, eccentric, there just is no excuse for that kind of behavior.
Phuji 3rd Jul 2012, 8:41 AM edit delete reply
It's the future. Styles are different. It's socially acceptable to walk around in Etswa pants.
cattservant 3rd Jul 2012, 12:52 AM edit delete reply
"Second Wave?" Not at all, he is his own puddle!
Ah, fortunate Rufus! Amiable ignorant vulnerability is his shield.
Glendale2x 3rd Jul 2012, 1:44 AM edit delete reply
I'm pretty sure Miwa already ran the probability of her succeeding with Jim in #271 (the one where it shows a 1% chance and she yells about constraints and smashes the wall). But matters of the heart don't follow science.

I still like Miwa and think Jack has it right in the beginning, though.
Glendale2x 3rd Jul 2012, 1:46 AM edit delete reply
Also, I doubt Miwa could ever be happy with anyone she thinks is dumber than her.
JasperWB 3rd Jul 2012, 2:01 AM edit delete reply
I disagree. I think if she could get over herself and her current arrogance towards so many things and let herself be human, she would be very happy with Rufus. He seems to me like just the kind of person she would really want when she just learns to relax. And I believe she can change like that because deep down she wants to make the change. She isn't happy as she is and she knows her current ways can't last much longer.
cattservant 3rd Jul 2012, 4:44 AM edit delete reply
You are correct. Miwa needs a henchman or, perhaps more accurately, a minion.
kill3st 3rd Jul 2012, 8:01 AM edit delete reply
@ cattservant: I want a minion...
cattservant 3rd Jul 2012, 8:46 AM edit delete reply
@kill3st: Yes!; Two or three to do the cooking and cleaning and to remember stuff!
Glendale2x 3rd Jul 2012, 5:55 AM edit delete reply
Eh, people who are smart like that can't simply calm down or have the ability to just turn off and relax like everyone else. Always thinking, always a project or a problem to work on, to solve.
JasperWB 3rd Jul 2012, 6:13 AM edit delete reply
Yeah but the human body is carefully balanced to work at such a high level because its not really meant to do that. Basically, when everything else unravels you shift your focus or unravel as well. You must learn to relax or find less stressful places to direct the extra energy you have. Like a star, you balance the in with the outs or explode like a supernova. Or conversely implode to a black hole.

Panel four and seven are the best! althou the hand detal in the last panel is really cool too, the rest of her hands must be a sight, did her foot or feet get the same damage?
view 3rd Jul 2012, 2:12 AM edit delete reply
Yeah, pretty much.
Meh.Aloe 3rd Jul 2012, 4:31 AM edit delete reply
Ahh, he's being the most adorable unpredictable variable ever! Miwa's confusion at her calculations not working out and her irritation at having to do them ALL OVER AGAIN until they do -- also very adorable. :P
Meh.Aloe 3rd Jul 2012, 4:32 AM edit delete reply
And scary. Miwa is scary! One of the many reasons why she is awesome.
JasperWB 3rd Jul 2012, 4:48 AM edit delete reply
She'd like his unpredictability even if it was stupid more often than not.
Danda 3rd Jul 2012, 5:36 AM edit delete reply
Warcraft III Peons...

Damn it now I need to play the entire campaign again... Work Work...

I don't know why, but panel 5 Miwa reminded me of the Aliens from Aliens.
AlfaFoxtail 3rd Jul 2012, 11:36 AM edit delete reply
Loving panel 5, if i didn't have a perfect icon right now i would make that mine XD

Is Miwa missing skin on her fingers in the last panel?
JasperWB 6th Jul 2012, 7:59 PM edit delete reply
Indeed she is. I'm pretty sure its synthetic though. I didn't realize until now how gruesomely it was torn off however. Bits and pieces gone leaving whole other chunks up the fingers still intact, though quite...loose I bet. If there are pain receptors implanted must hurt like hell...
