This is the last page to be uploaded on a daily schedule. The remaining pages I'll upload all at once this weekend sometime. Exciting!

Here's a robot with asymmetric eyes:

The final daily page... D:

Hmm. This begs a variety of questions on how the system finds her, especially since emergency implies that a GPS like device in keys or a phone may not go with a person. I hope all does end well, she's best that damn billboard and I fear one last sad or painful twist right before the ending here.

This has been a great story view. Thank you very much for it, kind artist. I'm just so happy you're not leaving us. That you will continue to make us more great stories and drawings!
cattservant 10th Jul 2012, 10:40 PM edit delete reply
I think he knows just about where too.

And now, a pause before the finale...
Brex 10th Jul 2012, 10:41 PM edit delete reply
I hope that my fears on the current situation are unfounded View. I just finished Revelations and Embers today, not really ready to deal with another major situation that this may become. However, that is my problem not yours. I can't wait to see what you do with the other comic.
ravenor78 10th Jul 2012, 10:45 PM edit delete reply
Ah i have a feeling that this is going to be a good ending, not like all the other crappy endings i've had to go through this year (mass effect 3 anyone?).
Brex 10th Jul 2012, 10:58 PM edit delete reply
I dislike ME3's ending, but I don't feel that it is crappy. When I went back really looked at it they were setting it up from the beginning of the game. Choices that you hate will need to be made, lives will be lost, and you will be tormented through it all to finish it.
JasperWB 11th Jul 2012, 12:07 AM edit delete reply
With the extended cut it was saved. I think I got what they were going for. They just need to learn the difference between being ambiguous and simply forgetting to write something.
view 11th Jul 2012, 12:21 AM edit delete reply
The extended cut was a 180. The original cut was a hard reboot for the universe, the extended cut was a minor inconvenience followed by a complete recovery.
JasperWB 11th Jul 2012, 12:45 AM edit delete reply
I would hardly call the war a minor inconvenience. I mean I admit the ending is still far from perfect but it now makes sense at least. It's not all sunshine and lollipops either. It just gives the option of not being totally fucked no matter what you did and what resources you built up. It makes the series worth playing again all the way through, and that's what I wanted more than everything else. I love the series and was heartbroken to have it unplayable because the end was such a non sequitur
view 11th Jul 2012, 12:50 AM edit delete reply
I was talking about the EMP burst, not the war.

Either way, the game was made unplayable by the way that they punished you for not importing a perfect save by simply deleting every named character aside from the four or five main ones. Screw the fact that it makes the game suck, fuck you, you didn't import a perfect save.
JasperWB 11th Jul 2012, 1:29 AM edit delete reply
Indeed. I can agree with that. There is too much of a set path for a game that is supposed to be an RPG. I just love the universe and lore though. Its one of my favorite fictional universes out of any kind of medium. I missed it so much.

Don't worry, Space Pulp will be a whole lot cooler than that stupid little two hundred million dollar game series.
JasperWB 11th Jul 2012, 1:41 AM edit delete reply
I only believe that because its you behind it! Doesn't mean you can separate me entirely from Mass Effect though. You can take that as a challenge if you wish.

I really hope my predictions are wrong ;-;

Everyone thinks BAD END is coming. My tone control is getting good!
JasperWB 11th Jul 2012, 12:09 AM edit delete reply
Plus everyone's about gritty endings nowadays. Wry u toy with us???
Glendale2x 11th Jul 2012, 1:09 AM edit delete reply
The writing is great. Whether the ending is good or bad, I'll be sad to see the story come to a close. If something bad happens in the story it doesn't mean the ending is "bad", as long as it's consistent with the story.

But the good thing about an ending is that it can be reread and appreciated from the beginning all over again.

You are right, GlendaleGlendale!
JasperWB 11th Jul 2012, 1:31 AM edit delete reply
And I can still feel sad if its a sad ending. Wasn't saying at all it would suck.
Glendale2x 11th Jul 2012, 3:31 AM edit delete reply
I wasn't thinking you were saying say it would suck as in "this sucks" but more like "oh it sucks that happened" (does that make sense?)

I find it ironic that Jim put a relationship with Miwa out of mind from the beginning because Miwa was "just a kid", yet it turns out Mary was the kid the whole time (mentally, anyway).
rainbows1701 11th Jul 2012, 3:21 AM edit delete reply
Please, make it a good end! If you wrote a bad ending, could you go back and re-do it before uploading it tomorrow? Pretty please with sprinkles on top?
view 11th Jul 2012, 3:24 AM edit delete reply
Well, I haven't even drawn it yet. It'll still be a few days before the pages are ready.
JasperWB 11th Jul 2012, 3:27 AM edit delete reply
Damn it, now I'm notably concerned how this will end. People be spreading panic! My little heart is fragile!
Meh.Aloe 11th Jul 2012, 3:27 AM edit delete reply
The end of an era. I am sad! D:

I am just sitting here and crossing my fingers that Mary lives through this. After all we saw what that sign had the potential to do while she was sober!
JasperWB 11th Jul 2012, 5:50 AM edit delete reply
I was just thinking, in that panel when she was jumping up before she sent the billboard crashing halfway down someone said she looked like an angel if I recall correctly. It would be...I think the word ironic would fit here, if she did "become an angel" at that same spot.

I only joke about this situation because I'm fairly confident she will be ok. I have been most of the story because of that song I said this whole tale reminded me of way back when. View said the sad end wasn't fitting but the rest was. And view is not capable of contradictions. Plus I'd never be able to listen to that song again if it were completely right. It would hurt. And that alone would be sad.

All these custom avatars are just so awesome, I am getting really envious. lol.

I really want to ask for one, but I have been holding off because I did not think what I wanted would suit the subject matter re: Robots. However, as you are just starting a new comic with aliens, perhaps now would be a good time to bring it up.

I would love to get a dragon/reptillian avatar. So, a dragon robot, if it could be swung, or maybe I could get one of the first space pulp avatars, some sort of reptillian alien?

Pretty please?

Sorry, could you ask again in a week? This week is preeeettttyyyyy busy.
Sheela 11th Jul 2012, 3:51 PM edit delete reply
Heh, dragon robots .. haven't seen a lot of those around.
ravenor78 11th Jul 2012, 7:59 PM edit delete reply
The only thing i've seen close to a dragon robot is meta ridley.

I will ask again in a week :)

Been following this for a while, just not much of a poster. I pray that Mary is not a sophisticated android herself. Don't give us the Bad end!
CyberSkull 11th Jul 2012, 4:29 PM edit delete reply
I think that "emergency" is Jim's code word for the system to just batter its way through to get him whatever info he is asking for. ;)

Just making a note here that this is the only comic I've followed right through. You tell a good story, sir.

view did say "this weekend sometime."
JasperWB 14th Jul 2012, 6:11 PM edit delete reply
We could summon view and see when the drop will begin. I was kinda hoping for like an hourly post of the pages myself, but that's quite the spacing of who knows how many pages.

view 14th Jul 2012, 6:37 PM edit delete reply
I have no idea what you guys are talking about. The pages aren't quite done.
